SAYLORSBURG, PA | The A Life For Brian Foundation is a 501(C)(3) charity with the mission to provide those struggling with addiction the opportunity to enter sober living homes.
Carol Cooper, A Life For Brian Founder, urges everyone to be aware of the dangers of fentanyl. “The biggest slogan out there right now on social media is one pill can kill and that’s because they’re making fake pills for Percocet, Ambien, anything that looks like a pill is not really a pill, and they look exactly like a pill,” said Cooper. “It’s also being put into marijuana right now. It’s on the dark web, so you have to be aware of what’s going on.” WATCH VIDEO.
A Life For Brian also offers Brian and Brianna Anti-Addiction and Comfort bears. The profits generated are used to provide addicts the opportunity to enter sober living homes. Through partnerships with several rehabilitation facilities and sober living homes, A Life For Brian helps get kids off the street, sponsoring clients for entry into oxford and sober living houses throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Clients must come from rehab to be eligible for the service.
About A Life For Brian
According to their website, on Friday, July 15, 2016, Cooper’s only son Brian was tragically taken away from her by a deadly combination of heroin and fentanyl. He suffered from severe anxiety and was given this deadly mixture, which he was told would help him. His anxiety finally stopped forever, as did his heart. He died instantly and never saw it coming. Brian was a wonderful, handsome, loving son who had big dreams just like every child. Unfortunately, his life was taken away in a split second. “Let’s all join together and help these poor victims that are suffering from this horrible disease. If I could just save one life, I will know that I am on the right path in what I am supposed to be doing,” said Cooper.
