Dear Carol,

I wanted to send you many thanks for saving my life by giving me a second chance to live sober. I have been drinking for 40 years and finally went into a rehab for help. When I was released I had no place to live and did not know what to do.

Your amazing organization provided me with scholarship money so I was able to move into a wonderful sober living home in South Jersey. Without your help I would be homeless.

I am now thriving in a wonderful sober living home, looking for work and living independently. I have my life back and a chance to make all things right this time.

I don’t know how to thank you for your kindness, strength and financial help so that I can live!! You are truly an inspiration to not only me but the world. Your tireless work to collect funds to help people like me who everyone else gave up on is truly a gift.

I only hope I can make you proud someday and do something in return to thank you. You are giving me a chance to live in a safe and sober environment so I can thrive and live…. live… not die from my disease. Thank you again Carol Cooper for all that you do! And all that you are…

Sincerely,

–  John S.

Hi Ms. Cooper.

We had met at Walmart one time and your story inspired me. I understand there is absolutely nothing I can say that will take away your pain especially this month. I wanted to thank you for all that you do and working so hard even though I’m sure it feels impossible to keep going. You really are making a difference in many people’s lives. You made a difference in my life.

Thank you so much

Dear Carol,

I wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your generous 1 month scholarship to my son’s drug rehabilitation. Being a single mom with limited resources and no private medical insurance doesn’t give my child many options. I found a safe place out of state willing to take him and then lost my job. I was worried and reached out to you and you were there in my time of need even when your own heart was breaking due to the loss of your only child. I admire your strength and determination to help others everyday even though I know you fight your inside turmoil every second. We need more people like you in this world!!! I am looking forward to meeting you in person one day soon. Your work and nonprofit spreads awareness, takes away some of the stigma and keeps people alive. I pray you keep your inner strength and continue in this journey.

Thank You Again,

A very thankful Mom

Dear Carol,

I want to thank you for everything you have done for the recovery community.  You have helped so many people begin their journey by helping them move into sober living. As you are well aware, sober living is an essential part of early recovery and your  time spent trying to secure donations for those suffering from the disease of addiction is inspiring. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the work you have done to help so many people.

Thank you for everything.

Kathryn Gibson, LPC, LCADC

Dear Carol,

I want to first start off by saying how grateful I am for you I have been struggling for so many years with addiction and its been so hard for me to have a sober environment it is because people like yourself that I have a fighting chance everyday I get to wake  up in a oxford house because of you I’m very sorry for your loss of your son but I know he’s so proud of you for the way you are helping other struggling addicts 90% of people tend to just write us off and not give us a fighting chance  but YOU have given me the hope to keep fighting and keep pushing forward every day is not easy but every day I don’t use is a success once again its because of you its a success so thank you again for helping me out as well as touching my heart and giving me hope.
